Volunteer Training—October 20 11-12:30 p.m.

HorseFriends Barn

HorseFriends is now at Home in Summerfield!

We are located at 5920 Khaki Place in Summerfield and ready for fall classes which are set to begin the week of September 17th  (check the calendar for complete schedule).  Located near the intersection of highway 150 and Deboe Rd. just off the I-73 Summerfield exit, we have a very convenient location for our participants and volunteers.

Our goal is to add another horse to each class.  Thanks to our move and our ability to expand classes and horses, we have been able to place 6 new participants in our classes this year who have been on our waiting list! (We currently have 32 on this list.)  Because we offer our services at no charge, and so many special needs families cannot afford paid therapeutic riding classes, our waiting list continues to grow.  In order to get even more participants off of our waiting list, we need more volunteers and a larger donor base!  If you are interested in making a difference in the life of a special needs child or adult, please consider becoming a HorseFriends volunteer!  (A “VIP”—A Volunteer Impacting a Participant!)  Volunteer forms are here.

Our class schedule follows the Guilford County School schedule.

More funding means more classes, which requires more horses and more volunteers!
