From Lisa, July 2007
I have only attended 3 sessions with the autism group, but I've
fallen in love with the ministry. Your volunteers are terrific, and I
love the fact that you are giving the moms time for devotions and
discussion. My child has only been once, but he's looking forward to his
next time on a horse. He was so proud of himself! He is still talking
about it, and what he accomplished in one day!
Thank you!

From Kim, May 2007
HorseFriends has given me the opportunity to gather with other
individuals troubled by the inconveniences of MS, to discuss our
frustrations, compare coping strategies, and offer support to those who
are struggling. It has given me the opportunity to deepen my spiritual
perspective through the thoughtful devotionals, challenging me to "dig a
little deeper" and reaffirm that there is a Higher Power always present.
Through the riding, I have not only gained physical strength,
but an internal boost to my confidence through the master of mounting,
dismounting, TROTTING (!), and "driving" the horse with the skills
taught by my instructor. To have it affirmed that I can, in fact, try
something out of the ordinary and succeed has been wonderful for my
morale; and to be able to claim this as my very own has been invaluable.
And to pursue this with my new friends has been a true blessing and at
times a COMICAL adventure!
Thank you, HorseFriends, for having the vision, devotion, and
generosity to make even just a few of us feel like we are worth the
extra effort. I am truly indebted to you!
