Fall 2007 Brunswick Stew Fundraiser
  On Saturday evening, October 20, HorseFriends hosted the
Triad community with food, fundraising, fun folk music (pictured right) and fun!
It was a beautiful day
and we made lots of contact with people who had never heard of us
before! The children met our miniature donkey, Eeyore (pictured left).
Also we raised about $2300 for the work of HorseFriends! Thank
you to everyone who came and everyone who volunteered!

HorseFriends
Receives Boggs/Mitchell Award
 from the ARC of High Point
In July, 2007,
HorseFriends was presented the Boggs/Mitchell Award as a community
organization that provides a year round, challenging and inclusive
recreational/leisure-time program. The non-profit Christian
organization's mission is to bring joy and strength through horses. Each
individual has customized curriculum and horse interactions designed to
bring out their unique gifts which make them special regardless of their
disabilities. HorseFriends provides a fun, compassionate and supportive
environment to enhance the lives of people with developmental
disabilities, multiple sclerosis and families with autistic children.
